Your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend/child is very welcome to come along as a non surfing partner and a discount is available too. Surfing is a fantastic family holiday activity and having kids for your surf lessons is always a lot of fun. We do have an age limit for surfing guests though; they need to be a minimum of 6 years old and accompanied by at least one participating adult. Children who require their own room are charged at adult rate.

It’s advisable that all of our guests purchase adequate medical and travel insurance that covers adventure sports such as surfing.

We will happily arrange for a private driver to meet you at the airport if necessary.

The guests can reach the camp via public or private transport.

AC Private car / van – Cost EUR 150 including expressway passes – Time taken is 6.5 hrs

Public transportation – All direct buses travel through the night, but if you want to travel by day then there is an option to take the number 98-2 bus to Monaragala (some of these are ac), and then take the number 303-1 bus to Pottuvil or Panama. This journey will take considerably longer as there is much more traffic during the day. In addition it is possible to take any number 98 bus as they all route through Monaragala before turning north. In fact some will take you as far as Siyambalanduwa which is the next town from Monaragala. From here there are local buses to Pottuvil and Panama. The last bus from Monaragala to Pottuvil leaves at 17:30.

Please visit our Terms and Conditions page for more information.

The reason to run our surf camp in East Sri Lanka is because of the consistency of the surf as well as its favorable weather and winds. It rarely gets big and it rarely gets flat. There is always soft, friendly white water on the inside for building confidence on specific board skills and typically smooth, unbroken waves each morning, perfect for more experienced guests and level 2-3 surfers wishing to challenge themselves.

Simply put, we stick to an upper limit of 1: 5 Instructors to Students ratio. Also it’s important to note that we do not mix ability levels, therefore you will feel more comfortable with your instructions.

We have an in house photographer who can take photos of you from the land, drone, and water. You can buy these professional photos from him. Videos taken for surf analysis will be shared with you free of charge.

It’s nice and warm in Sri Lanka so all you need is a rash guard and a pair of board shorts/ bikini. We will provide you with a rash guard if you don’t have your own. Don’t forget sunscreen too, It can be difficult to find these items locally, especially 40+.

Surfing equipment is included with in the surf camp packages. However, if you have your favourite personal board, feel free to bring it down as well.

This is not a must, but an advantage to feel confident in the water, and maximise your progress and enjoyment.
